Wonderful mom/daughters' weekend!
I recently took my daughters to D.C. for a birthday weekend and we stayed at the Phoenix Park. Since we took the train into Union Station, we were thrilled it was so close...just a couple blocks away!
We found the staff delightful!...helpful, friendly, and very accommodating!
The Dubliner restaurant was great! delicious food...charming wait servers!
Can't wait to get back for a weekend again soon!

First off, I love this hotel and will return! We flew to Washington D.C. for my husbands birthday on Friday and stayed until Sunday. It was a short trip but was wonderful :) When we first arrived off the D.C metro we ended up at the wrong stop. Yes, we were lost and am not very good at directions. After wondering around for 45 minutes, I called the hotel to see if they could help us find the hotel. She spoke to me on the phone for about 10 minutes trying to find out where I was and gave directions on how to get there. I can't believe I forgot her name, but the lady we spoke to was African American, mid 40's and very kind! When we arrived, she said "oh good you found us
!! :) She thanked my husband happy birthday, got us checked in, and informed us of different places within the hotel and also places to eat. (Dubliner) She also informed us that the metro (union station) was right across from our hotel. We went up to our room and it was very nice! For all of the people who said the rooms are to small, they're not. My take on things is that if you are on vacation in D.C, im guessing you're spending the majority of your time outside anyways. If the size of the room bothers you, thats a whole different issue. But the rooms were great! Beautifully decorated and extremely up to date! We were in the back of the hotel and could hear the ambulances going down the road a few times a day, but I PROMISE, its really not that bad. Again, you're in D.C, you have to know that its going to be a little noisy. The hotel even left ear plugs in the room in case the sound bothered you. I thought that was very thoughtful. A sweet surprise to us, the hotel actually upgraded our room for free since it was my husbands birthday. Thank you Phoenix Park!!! The Dubliner was amazing! We would go back there in a heartbeat. Staff was incredible. We had a young gentlemen with blonde hair who took care of us, and that was honestly the best service I had ever had. The hotel had a Christmas tree set up in the lobby which was a great touch. I love that they had their hotel decorated for the holiday :) This hotel is truly one of a kind. The staff was incredible and thoughtful during our whole stay. If you are looking for something that is close to literally everything, this is your place. When we come back to D.C, there's no doubt that ill be staying here again. See you next time!!
Awesome Hotel - Great Staff
This was my first time to this hotel. It was an amazing experience. The check in was quick and easy. Close to Union Station and the US Capitol. Transportation was convenient. The hotel is very well maintained and clean. The best part is the staff. Eager to help with information and restaurant suggestions. Definitely staying here again!!
Weekend visit to our nation's capital
Couldn't get much more convenient location when coming in to DC's Union Station via Amtrak, literally a 1 block walk. This is a comfortable, clean and well kept hotel. The staff was welcoming and very helpful in giving directions and entertainment suggestions. Our room overlooked the Postal Museum and Union Station. Definitely will return to the Phoenix Park Hotel.
A gem of a european-style hotel, strategically located!
If you are looking for a spacious lobby where you can hang out, or large guest rooms, this is NOT the place for you, go to a chain hotel for those amenities. But if you are happy with a compact, European-sized guest room that has EVERYTHING you need: great bed and bedding, plush towels and bathrobe, free wifi & TV with a small seating area and closets, then you've found your Washington base. Excellent, welcoming, helpful front-desk and hotel staff.
