The Phoenix Park Hotel is just one block from Union Station, which houses the Metro and Train Station, as well as, an upscale shopping center, and food court. This downtown Washington D.C. hotel is situated at the corner of North Capitol and Massachusetts Avenue. The U.S. Capitol Building is located two short blocks from the entrance of Phoenix Park Hotel. We are located right across the street from the National Guard offices and the historical Postal Museum.

Library of Congress
Pay a visit to the Washington D.C. Library of Congress, the United States' oldest federal cultural institution and largest library in the world. The library serves as the research branch of Congress and encompasses three buildings on Capitol Hill: the Thomas Jefferson, the John Adams, and the James Madison. National Gallery of Art

U.S. Supreme Court

The White House

National Zoo

National Museum of Crime & Punishment
One of the newest Washington D.C. museums, the National Museum of Crime & Punishment is located less than one mile from our DC hotel.

This museum presents a factual, yet interesting perspective on the history of crime and punishment in a 3-floor, 28,000 square-foot facility. Opened in May 2008, this Washington D.C. museum delves into criminal history from pirates and outlaws to serial killers and gangsters.

Military barracks
John Phillip Sousa Barracks - The Marine Corps Barracks in Washington D.C. is the oldest post of the corps, designated a National Historic Landmark in 1976. The site of the post was established in 1801, strategically located "within easy marching distance of the Capitol". Today, The U.S. Marine Barracks, Washington D.C. is home to more than 1,100 Marines, Sailors and civilians.

Marines stationed here are responsible for a wide array of duties, from participating in ceremonies and light infantry training to presidential support duty.

Smithsonian Postal Museum
The National Philatelic Collection was established in 1886 with a donated sheet of 10-cent Confederate postage stamps and over the years, the growing collection was housed in various sites until the National Postal Museum opened in its current location in 1993.

The museum is found in the lower level of the City Post Office Building, which served as the Washington D.C. post office from 1914 through 1986. Created through a joint agreement between the Smithsonian Institution and the United States Postal Service, this museum's mission is to study, preserve and present postal history and philately through educational programs, exhibits and research.

U.S. Capitol Visitors Center
Boasting 15 million visitors annually, Washington D.C. is a top tourist destination, and visitors to the Capitol should be sure to start their sightseeing with a stop at the U.S. Capitol Visitor Center.

This impressive $621 million center is a tri-level, 580,000 square-foot facility located underground between the Capitol Building and the U.S. Supreme Court below the East Capitol Grounds. The Center provides in-depth information on the United States government, past and present, through a number of fascinating galleries.

RFK Stadium
Since 1961, RFK Stadium has been home to action-packed sporting events in Washington, D.C. The stadium began as the longtime home of NFL's Washington Redskins, and since 1996 has been home to Major League Soccer champions, D.C. United. See world-class soccer at RFK Stadium as D.C.

United take the field from March to November. Popular RFK Stadium events include more than just sports. RFK is one of the premier concert and special event venues in Washington D.C. Big name concerts, music festivals, motocross exhibitions, national events and political rallies have been held at RFK Stadium over the years.

Verizon Center
The Verizon Center events include professional and college sports, exhibition and all-star games, live concerts, and a variety of traveling shows. The Verizon Center is also the home of sports in Washington DC and home teams include the Washington Capitals (NHL), Washington Wizards (NBA), Washington Mystics (WNBA), Georgetown Hoyas (NCAA), and Harlem Globetrotters (most DC exhibitions).
